The Truth About Hard-Water Stains in Southern Arizona
If you live in Tucson, Oro Valley or any of the surrounding areas in Southern Arizona, you've probably noticed those cloudy, white spots that appear on windows - especially near sprinklers. That's hard-water staining, caused by calcium and magnesium in the local water supply.
Once the water evaporates, these minerals bond with the pores in the glass. If ignored, they can actually etch the surface permanently, making the glass appear frosted of hazy.

How to prevent hard-water stains:

-
Adjust sprinklers so they don't hit windows
-
Be careful hand-watering plants near windows
-
Schedule window cleaning soon after having your home power-washed/painted
-
Install splash guards near problem areas
-
Schedule hard water stain removal before stains become permanent
